CARA is comprised of 3 control rooms, 3 studio spaces and a MIDI suite which takes up the entire 11th floor (top) of the historic Standard Building in downtown Atlanta. These studios are all interconnected by tie-lines and each control room shares the adjacent studio spaces equally. This patching configuration facilitates the overall utility of the center and allows for easy control room linkage.

As of September 24, 1996 the studios are complete in their equipping but are likely to change somewhat as we garner funding from faculty initiatives and other sources. Specifically, Studio A, which is currently built around the new Yamaha O2R Digital Console, will change dramatically when a large-frame mixing desk is procured.
