Always use the 02R Project Manager to save your 02R scenes and automixes
Always save your 02R scenes and automixes before you save your project -- any data in the 02R's edit buffers will NOT be saved on the Macintosh ! This includes automixes ! Save it or you may lose it !
Due to the way the 02R's digital interfacing works, you cannot play a DAT tape digitally into the 02R and then record it onto tracks of a DA-88. You can, however, record on the DAT digitally from the DA-88s.
If you get "Digital IO Error" messages, check the Word Clock settings on the 02R's digital setup page. To use the DA88s, you must set the 02R to sync to Word Clock In. You can do this by moving the cursor box over "Word Clock" and pressing enter.
Likewise, to play back a DAT tape or the Microsound digitally, the 02R must either be set to "Internal 44.1" or the actual digital input (D1, D2, D3) for its synchronization.
When powering down, always turn off the amplifiers first and then the power strip. When powering up, turn the power strip on first and then the power amps. This prevents speaker pops.
Always turn the amplifiers on LAST and turn them off FIRST !!!
Remember that the monitor speakers in the control rooms are actually quite fragile (and expensive) instruments. If you abuse them, they can quite easily be damaged. Keep the volume under control. Practice safe mixing -- double check that your control room volume knobs and the stereo master are turned off when making patch changes.
