Control Room Notes
When powering down, always turn off the amplifier first and then the equipment. When powering up, turn the equipment on first and then the power amp. This prevents speaker pops.
Always turn the amplifier on LAST and turn it off FIRST !!!
Remember that the monitor speakers in the control rooms are actually quite fragile (and expensive) instruments. If you abuse them, they can quite easily be damaged. Keep the volume under control. Practice safe mixing -- double check that your control room volume knobs and the stereo master are turned off when making patch changes.
MIDI loops can be an annoying problem. Minimize your chances by powering off unused MIDI gear and making sure the sequencing software is not routing MIDI data to un-needed or un-used patch points.

Note : Top and bottom patch points are normalled; All equipment outpus are line level and the Mackie trim pots are set for nominal levels. Start with the faders in the center (unity) position and fade up or down as needed from there.
